Spelling City
Below is a link for your children to access Spelling City. This full version (offered to us by Valley Academy) helps reinforce spelling skills through interactive games. It is the epitome of learning made fun. Every week I will update the spelling list. Make sure that after your student has logged in, that they click on the current spelling list for that week. If they do not, then the spelling activities will not function or will not match their current word list.
There is no homework for use of this sight. It is a beneficial tool that is used in the classroom, and can also be utilized in the home. Also if a student forgets their username or password-
Username- Their Last initial Capitalized, followed by a period, followed by their First name with the first letter capitalized.
Example: My name is Aaron Spencer, so my Username would be: S.Aaron
Password- All student's passwords are: Spencer
*Please DO NOT have your child do the spelling test at home. There is a Practice Test option that is perfectly acceptable to do as many times as possible. I am having them do the actual tests on Spelling City- rather than a paper test.

Reading A-Z
Below is a link for your children to access RAZ Kids for Reading A-Z. Each child has been assigned an individual reading level based on their specific needs. Students may access this site both at school and in the home. Upon clicking the link, you will be asked to enter the Teacher's username. For Mr. Spencer's 3rd Grade class, it is: aspencer0 (yes that is a zero not a letter at the end).
From there your student can click on their specific name. While in school, students earn points for reading progress and test success. At home they can click on their individual RAZ Rocket and used points earned to create their own planet decor. Students are free to read from this site at home to continue building their individual reading skills.
