Classic Skip counting song kids love for the 5's. You are probably seeing a pattern. I look for techniques or songs that can "stick" with a child. It's not everyone's "cup of Hot Chocolate" but it is how I roll. :) The students have been learning this song to help them with with the X 7's. The end part is what we are memorizing. If you skip to 2:03 it will play the phrasing twice in a row for your child. :) This is a great way to help young learners learn the 8's This month we are having a class Christmas party on the last day of school before the winter break. It will take place on December 19th, 2014. Participation is optional, but I have asked the students that want to participate in the festivities to bring a gift that is less than $5. (Dollar store is an excellent option, or a homemade craft)
If your child is a boy, they will bring a gift for a boy. If they are a girl, bring a gift for a girl. Again, this is optional. Those who bring a gift will participate in a gift exchange. I have already had a serious talk about appreciation and manners, so I know the event will go smoothly. The present can be brought to the class any time during this month leading up to the party. I have a tree where they can place the gifts. |
